Mira Dining Supports Carbon Labelling Programme
In collaboration with Henderson Land Group, Food Made Good Hong Kong (now known as Future Green) announced its new “Carbon Labelling Programme”. Chinesology and JAJA are amongst the first six in the industry join the initiative. The main menu at Chinesology and JAJA will introduce carbon labeling by showing the carton footprint of greenhouse gases of each item with Low, Medium or High climate-impact icons.
Chinesology is the First Local Chinese Restaurant to Adopt Carbon-labeling. It will show the determination of carbon footprint reduction in menu design, including lowering energy consumption in cooking and adopting more local ingredients. This not only contributes to the environmental protection, but also echoes the Chines culinary philosophy which Chinesology is always upholding to.
Chef Saito proudly presents Chinesology’s new low carbon dish, Grouper Filet with Hua Diao. Made with local fish and hinted with local dried shrimp, dried whitebait and dried golden threadfin bream, the dish also adopts a lower carbon cooking method, steaming.
JAJA is a restaurant where originative and delectable plant-based dishes are served to brighten your picture-perfect moments in life! The signature Living Maki Platter, largely made with local organic agricultural products and a series of super foods, including jackfruit, avocado and brown rice, is a pure pleasure to support carbon footprint reduction.
